A software robot based on Python programming language has been developed.
The robot was designed as an unattended robot, which is run according to a schedule.
After each launch, the robot checks whether there is new data available in a dedicated network location, where pictures and documentation of damages is saved by employees working at the warehouse. If the new data is identified, the robot logs into a claim processing system to upload information on a damage and corresponding documentation such as transport documents and pictures of a damage.
Automation of the process saves around 1.5 FTEs of the team’s work and allows the team to concentrate on field operations such as documentation of damages. Additionally, claims can be processes faster which results in improved cashflow.
