A branch of Siemens specializing in electrification, automation, and digitalization has faced challenge in effective processing of requests for quotes (RFQ) from its customers. Number of RFQs has gradually increased beyond 10.000 pieces per year. The company was looking for a solution that:
- will be implemented in a relatively short time,
- will be compatible with the currently used IT architecture,
- relieves the Sales Department of repetitive business activities.

The software robot has been developed and implemented in the sales department using open-source technology. Based on RFQ from a customer and data stored in financial systems of Siemens, the robot verifies customer’s terms of business. They include parameters such as levels of discounts and trade credit, which are mutually accepted using email.
As a result of our actions, we were able to 100% automate the process of verifying requests for quotations. The total savings potential is on average up to 80% of all inquiries made by Siemens sales department.
